Eastern Park Community Garden

This nine-year-old volunteer-run community garden invites Baw Baw Shire residents to come together to grow food and build friendships and share knowledge and skills. Open 24/7; the garden is cared for by a dedicated crew offering help and advice to anyone keen to grow their own food.

In our food garden

We grow everything: berries, citrus and stone fruit, tomatoes, beans, and artichokes. Every spring, the garden bursts into life thanks to the hard work of our busy band of volunteers.

All the food we grow is free for everyone to take - all we ask is that you just take what you need and leave enough to share.

Standout sustainable practices

We have a very successful composting system that helps keep our garden in tip-top condition. Many of our growing beds are raised to enable people with limited mobility to enjoy gardening.

Top tip for novice gardeners

Come to the community garden and have a chat.

Look out for

Our buzzing beehives.
